Mistaken porn for rape
Wow… I am sooo sooo…. drawn to this latest news event. I don’t know if any of you have heard about it (if not read it here).
The thing is, I feel sorry for BOTH guys.
What happened was, a man downstairs thought he heard a woman getting raped upstairs and he didn’t have a phone to call the police - so he grabbed a sword and ran to go help her. Wow! That’s so chivalrous and brave! A knight in shining armour! The problem was, he invaded the upstairs neighbor’s privacy and it turned out that the man upstairs was only watching a dirty porn flick.
Can you imagine?
Now the downstairs neighbor is being sued! Can you imagine being SUED for trying to help a woman from being raped? This man deserves a METAL! Yeah, this guy needs to pay some sort of damages to the door and maybe some sort of damages for embarrassing the guy - but 33 months of jail time? COME ON!
And I also feel sorry for the guy upstairs too! I mean… I watch violent porn too and I like hearing a woman cry out for help and hearing kidnapping scenes (by the way, the news never claimed the porno was a rape flick) and what you enjoy in the privacy of your own home is YOUR business. It appalls me that someone would just beat down the door and catch you masturbating naked and at your most vulnerable moment and accuse you of rape. That is horrible. And to point a sword at you? That’s outrageous!
I feel terrible for both guys. No wonder they’re going to court.
But it just makes me think twice about the next time I wanna masturbate to a woman getting beaten screaming, “No stop hurting me!” — maybe I’ll have to double check and make sure my security alarm is on.
Love

While I definitely agree the vast majority of what you said, was this really and truly “in the privacy of his own home,” given that his neighbor could hear it well enough to discern what was going on? I totally defend everyone’s right to do whatever concentual thing they want in private, what if instead of a chivalrous person hearing sounds of rape, his neighbor had been a person who’d recently been raped? If he’d turned down the volume a little or worn headphones, I’d be right there with you. And in case it’s not obvious, I mean no disrespect to you or the people involved or anyone else by making this comment
Totally unrelated, do you ever read Sexual Intelligence? I stumbled across it one day, and I find it kind of interesting. Seemed like something you might enjoy.

In Butovo, a district of Moscow (Russia) there always are sounded such shrills, but nobody’s running with a sword because there’re crying only because of their love. They prefer to be killed, because they don’t like anyone seeing their naked body. Those idiots mean to be naked is more crime than to kill anyone. They even are pround saying “I’ll kill you”, because murder is not crime for them in compare with nakedness. I think it’s madness. There’s no democracy because I can’t walk naked freely in the streets of that enormus city, but the people are looking with their eyes of a blind fish like the same people like them are robbed or beaten or raped and even they take pleasure looking at that (not only in cinema, but at real also). I think it’s all because of their superstition. Their religious feelings have been degradated much. They know only two laws: 1)not to be naked and 2)hate all who are naked. I think nobody must wear clothes when they don’t want it. Fuck off clothing. A man with sward is unreal thing for such country as mine. Nobody there could understand yous acident. He had not seen a naked person, so he did not a crime - it’s the main law of gymnophobic Russia

Wow. Some interesting comments here!
I think the crime here is that some people can’t just say “excuse me. I’m terrible sorry for being an idiot.” and other people can’t say “that’s OK, no worries, mate. You meant well.”
Too many damn lawyers!

Vigilanteism….hmmmmm….He should have found a phone, (there still are payphones out there, and you don’t even ned a quarter to call 911).
People should never take the law into their own hands. Too slippery a slope.
