Song of Serenity

Here’s a beautiful poem written for me by John… it is so unbelievably sweet! It’s not often I receive a love poem, so this means a whole lot!

“Song of Serenity”

My body is here, my mind is there
like a canopy of green lay before me.
Shadows abound under the moonlit sky
I am gliding along my favorite trail
effortlessly moving, blending, merging with the creatures
who notice my passage with silent, approving eyes
The deer, having accepted me, go back to their peacful grazing,
contentment and joy fill me
as if the Moon in all of her beautiful glory
could consume me in her soothing white light
I speed up my pace, i feel if i could fly
so alive
endorphins electrifying every pore upon my skin
As it always is
i wish for this feeling
that it would never end
as i see my destination, now so near
i close my eyes, and Isabella enchants me
in the peaceful calm of morning time
a song of serenity
