Glamourous hat

I don’t know if I’ve posted these photos before, but I just found them on my camera phone so I thought I’d post them. The hat I’m wearing is a vintage 30s hat that I discovered by accident while window shopping across from the Bloomington Courthouse. It didn’t cost very much, which was cool, and the best part about it is the neat little black net that goes across the front. I like wearing it with t-shirts and jeans, which I’m sure lots of beautiful fashionistas would frown upon. There’s something fantastically exciting, for me, about wearing something slightly uncommon. Not that people need compliments, but should someone want to receive one - it’s cool to wear at least one item on a wardrobe, like a shirt or an accessory, that a person can point out and say, “OOh I like that!” so a conversation can spark and a friendship can form.

It’s so much fun to be glamorous, I’m inspired to wear it with flip-flops cause it’s what I would have done when I was a little girl in front of the mirror.
