Chillin’ in Life
So I spent nearly the whole weekend combing out my dreadlocks. I loved my locks and still do even though they’re gone now. Truth be told, I missed wearing pigtails. So now I’ve got straight hair again which I know majority society likes anyway. Who knows – maybe one day I’ll go back to having dreads. Anyway, enough about hair. Here’s a couple new photos of me which were snapped today in a hotel room in natural lighting. One of the greatest things I love about being human is the privileged ability to have total and complete freedom when it comes to hairstyles. Consistency is boring to me.

Three of the living room walls of the house are finally finished! This is the main (third) wall. My intention was to make it as artistic, abstract, and avant garde while keeping it relatively timeless so I won’t be tempted to paint over it too quickly. I’m loving it so far! Here are a couple before/after photos of the mural.

Other than that… here’s a quick update on what’s going on in my life (if you’re picky and prefer not to read my AWESOME Twitter updates).
1. I’m over 9 months pregnant. Due in a week or two. My feet are huge. All I wear are flip flops. Forget heels, what are they again? When I’m not on the computer, I complain all the time about pain (my back, my pelvis, the heavy feeling, increased blood pressure, shortness of breath, not to mention the contractions…). Then I remind myself how blessed I am with this miracle and repeat the words, “joy and gratitude” until I stop complaining and knock myself back to appreciating this brilliant and amazing experience.
2. Every day I play and practice piano. I can now almost play the song “Chariots of Fire” without looking at the sheet music. One day I hope to play it with my eyes closed. I’m sure by now my little baby Julius in the belly has memorized the notes. The next song I want to learn how to play is “Bed of Roses” which is one of my favorite songs!
3. The septic pump in the house broke (again) and is being replaced sometime this week. Right now I’m in a luxurious hotel suite with a full kitchen, two bedrooms, and an awesome indoor pool. When life gives you lemons, bathe naked in milk and lemonade.
4. I’ve been working on a psychedelic painting that is truly out of this world. If I were home, I’d take a photo of it so far so you can see a “before” photo of it. It may take a few months to complete, but it’s been a dream of mine to complete something of this caliber. It’s got tons of colors, all sorts of shades, and it’s wow. I’m calling it “Big Bang Theory.”
5. I’ve been working on a psychedelic ink drawing that has millions of pen strokes. It’s all in black and white ink. I started on it 8 months ago, still not even close to halfway finished. Pretty soon I’ll take a “before” photo of it so you can see how it’s coming along.
6. I’ve finished a recording (actually it’s a 3-part series – 3 recordings for one price) called “The Sweetest Love” which has been completed for several days. I’m just waiting till the timing is right to release it to the public. When it comes to putting out new products, it’s really important to me that I not just put it out for the sake of making money – but for when the universe seems to line everything right. It’s hard for me to explain. I have to FEEL when the timing is right.
7. For 6 weeks I’ve been learning some advanced hypnosis techniques including: anesthesia, fear release, deepeners, somnambulism, and lots of other deep stuff. I’m super excited because I want to put the stuff to the test on myself in the delivery room! For instance, when I give birth to my baby boy, I want to listen to some of my own custom hypnosis mp3s I’ve made for myself which are designed to turn the pain into orgasmic pleasure. Trust me, if I can catapult a skull out of my tight vagina and not scream in pain then that can only mean I’m one hell of a hypnotist. We’ll find out soon enough. Crossing my fingers on this one cause I really REALLY don’t like pain and have no intention of getting an epidural cause 1) I like a challenge and 2) me and needles don’t get along. If it hurts like a bitch, then that means I’ve got more training to do.
8. If you want to read my personal blog (non-adult, work-safe and pregnancy related), feel free to go to EarthZizu.com where I talk about my pregnancy and stuff. We’ve been very fortunate financially over the last couple months (which I owe to having loyal and devoted customers) which has allowed us to purchase practically every possible necessity for our son during his first few months at home. The stuff we need now are mostly house related (for instance, we’d like to get a nice dining room table as well as some thick drapes for privacy), so if you feel like sending a baby gift – we humbly ask you send cash or gift cards so we can use it on stuff we’ll need when the time comes. We have a paypal account set up on the Earth Zizu website for those who are interested.
9. When I go into labor, my husband will be posting every possible detail about what’s going on in the delivery room on Twitter. So be sure to follow earthzizu on Twitter here: http://twitter.com/earthzizu. This will save us loads of time with friends and family who all want to be contacted when the time comes. Please keep in mind that the updates are on the earthzizu account, not on isabellaval. I’m trying to balance having a work life and a personal life at the same time. It’s been a bit challenging to keep the two completely separate since so many of my customers have turned into real friends. So if you’d like to stay up to date with personal stuff, now you know where you can do that
10. On my mind: I’d like to know the psychology of why traffic lights are colored the way they are. Why does red mean stop, yellow mean caution, and green mean go? I mean… at the crosswalk, white means go and orange means stop. Who came up with the color scheme?
11. On my mind: Are faith and recklessness the same thing? If a person has complete faith that he or she won’t get hit by a car while standing in the middle of a highway – is that also delusional? It’s funny how churches always preach about faith but when someone actually follows through by showing faith, they’re treated crazy.
12. On my mind: Why do Americans bury corpses deep underground (going towards the earth’s core) yet when we look through history further back than 2,000+ B.C., Egyptians built giant pyramids which took 20 years or more to complete (going upwards towards the sky)? I understand the whole “tomb to the gods” thing and the theory of being closer to heaven as far as pyramids go… but I don’t understand the whole American thing where people get buried underground where people walk over them. After I die, I want to be cremated with my ashes sent out to deep space via rocket. I’m already looking into it and saving up for it. Why would I want to be on earth after I’m dead? When I die, I want to be as far away from here as possible. As far as I’m concerned… I’m here on this planet now, so I’m enjoying it. But when I’m done being here, why should I have to stick around?
13. On my mind: Which is a greater form of love? Let’s hypothetically throw this out there. I’ve been married to the same person for 50 or more years (I hope so). Let’s also assume that I am granted the option to decide which one of us should die first with the exception we can’t die at the same time. Is it more loving for me to die first to save my partner from experiencing death? Or is it more loving for me to allow my partner to die first to save my partner from having to experience the grief of losing me?
14. On my mind: If there were an infinite solar eclipse, how long could humans survive on the earth?
15. On my mind: If you could get high with any one person (past or present), who would it be? (My answer: Rumi)
16. Come follow me on Twitter here: http://twitter.com/isabellaval so we can interact with one another every day! It’s much easier for me than blogging cause I can do it from my phone or anywhere for that matter. As one could probably suspect, I’m much more motivated to update on Twitter for a few reasons: 1) It’s faster and easier to post updates 2) I get instant feedback from people so I don’t feel I’m talking to a brick wall like in blogs 3) I can write one word responses without feeling guilty 4) I don’t have to spend hours writing long journal entries in which no one replies 5) people are generally nicer without all the sarcasm – and if not, it’s easy for me to ignore dumb replies and 6) with my current life status – Twitter is the optimum solution, especially when I’m going to have to breastfeed every hour and experience sleep deprivation pretty soon.
17. As always, if you consider yourself to be a connoisseur of sexual couture, I’d love you to visit my website at http://isabellavalentine.com which has hundreds of high quality erotic hypnosis recordings.
Love
