Why do people like hypnosis?
Depending on the type of hypnosis, people enjoy them for many reasons and for different goals they are trying to achieve.
Why do people like erotic hypnosis?
Some people enjoy erotic hypnosis, also called sensual hypnosis or sexual hypnosis. This form of hypnotism is my favorite to perform simply because I get to take someone down into a trance and let them lose all control.
Men and women seem to enjoy this for several reasons. First of all, it allows you to not work. It sounds simple but really that's the main gist of it. All the subject has to do is lay there and relax and listen. It requires no work, no effort, no control. Nothing. Some people do it because they like to lose control and have the feeling of all their control and power being slowly stripped away. It is quite erotic having a sexy woman telling you that you no longer have control and you must obey.
Others like it because sometimes regular fantasies and dreams feel sort of stale. With hypnosis, on the other hand, the hypnotist is speaking and giving detailed descriptions of the things around them and creating a reality around the person that seems sexy and arousing.
What about other types of hypnosis?
Some people want to quit smoking, lose weight, stop gambling, less stress, you name it. People seem to enjoy hypnosis for these simply because it becomes somewhat as a last resort and feel "going down in a trance" might help sway their minds to do the opposite of their actions. Personally I think these can only be effective under extreme repetition and constant drilling.
Why do people want it again and again?
Hypnosis is intensely satisfying and sometimes people want to feel the sensation continue more and more. Others do it again simply because hypnosis is MORE effective when it is repeated.
But won't it be the same every time?
Not necessarily. Everyone has different goals they are trying to reach, so sometimes it is better to give various inductions than the time before.
Personally when I hypnotize someone into a trance, I like to mix up the way I put them "down" while still keeping key words similar such as: sleep, deeper, obey, and relax. Other times I have people visualize something or concentrate on their environment.
